My Story
I'm a Central Florida-based culinary professional pursuing a career in journalism! I am a senior print/digital journalism major at the University of Central Florida with a minor in history, graduating May 2026.
I contribute to UCF's student-run news organization, The Charge, as an editor and journalist. I also pursued a brief internship with The Borgen Project as a writer for their non-profit blog.
With professional culinary experience throughout my high school career and a lifelong goal to work with food, my decisions brought me to London, England to study the culinary arts at Le Cordon Bleu. After receiving my Grand Diplôme in cuisine and pâtisserie, I returned to Florida to pursue my bachelor's in journalism whilst working full-time in the local food industry at renowned places such as Disney, The Ravenous Pig, The Glass Knife and Buttermilk Bakery.
I am experienced in cultural, academic and climate reporting. I seek to put all of my studies and experience together to pursue a career in food journalism.
